Druk Air - Royal Bhutan Airlines
Druk air also called Royal Bhutan Airlines, the country's flag carrier, is the first ever airline registered with the DCA Bhutan. At present, it is also the only airline operating scheduled flights to paro airport. It will be soon joined by Tashi Air- Kingdom's first private airline for domestic air services as well as international air services.
It now operates to six destinations;Kolkata,Gaya,Delhi,Kathmandu,Daka and Bangkok, compared to two when it first assumed scheduled flights in 1983.The airline fleet consist of two Airbus 319s delivered in 2004 to replace the two BAE 146s which were in service since 1988 and one ATR-42 bought recently.
Druk Air also has included the schedules for the operation to 2 new destinations - Singapore and Mumbai from the summer 2012.
