Airport Engineering & Maintenance

The maintenance section comprises of Civil, electrical and auto-mechanical engineering divisions.We maintain and run the only airport in the country by developing appropriate systems and procedures, and streamline the function of the airport placing greater emphasis on day to day maintenance and development aspects with intend to raise the standards of the airport to modern specifications.

The section undertakes the work requiring the application of engineering principles and practices related to all phase, investigate,plan, design and estimation of the constructions and installations and checking compliance with contract stipulation, specification and assessing its progress for purpose of payment. We explore and propose to the department the alterations, up-gradations and modification of any infrastructures,installations and other facilities requiring better change. We also conduct survey and collect data for proposed construction of airports and heliport within the country.
