Domestic Air Service launched on December 17

As planned the Domestic Air service was launched successfully on 104th National Day. Druk Air flew its ATR-42 from Paro to Yonphula Domestic Airport to Bumthang bathpalathang Airport and back to Paro whereas Tashi Air's Pilatus PC-12 flew from Paro to Bumthang and returned back to Paro. 

With the introduction of new air service within the country, a new chapter has been opened in the history of Bhutan. Many people hopes that the Domestic Air Service will bring economic development in the eastern part of the country.It surely will benefit the people of the central and eastern part of the country and provide the fast mode of transport for the tourist as well as in emergency situations.
